YOUR report on the Discus prefab homes was yet another example of the double standard of attitudes towards older people (February 27).
First we are told to let them stay in their own homes, care in the community and all that.
This costs quite a considerable amount to anyone owning their home, as they appear to have to subsidise others in poorer situations.
Why disturb these old people now? Some will die before 2010 in any case.
As regards Decent Homes Standard - an idea from the Government that closed a number of good residential homes - it's laughable.
