The Guardian Angels campaign to raise £300,000 to transform high-dependency paediatric care at York Hospital is a tenth of the way there already.
We always knew it would be a tall order to raise so much money, but we have been amazed by the generosity of our readers.
Along the way, so many touching stories are being unearthed - and every single one reminds us why this is such a worthwhile and important campaign.
Now what needs to be done is for everyone to pull together to reach that ambitious target.
