Selby Town could find themselves in the final of the Northern Counties East League President's Cup without kicking a ball following Garforth Town's shock ban from all football.
The West Riding County FA this week put a two-week total suspension on the club as a disciplinary sanction following an incident at Hallam - and the cup semi is just one of four first team matches scheduled for that period.
Selby Town assistant coach Gary Cygan said: "We will have to wait and see what happens. I would assume that we would have to play them another time anyway - and they will probably be even more up for it.
"But we'll see how it turns out."
Hallam made a complaint after Simon Clifford entered their dressing room after the league match at the Sheffield ground, following some shouting.
Clifford admitted the charge and the sentence was passed by the West Riding FA having taken Garforth's past record into account.
Clifford is now instructing solicitors on mounting an appeal against the ban.
If the appeal fails, Garforth could be kicked out of the league and cup in accordance with NCEL rules and could have points docked and a fine imposed.
Pickering Town could also benefit from the suspension with a league match planned for Tuesday, March 21 covered in the March 13-26 time frame.
