Mick Kenyon had the game of the season for club Groves WMC 'A' against Holgate WMC 'A' in the York and District Table Tennis Association first division.

Kenyon had a hand in four wins as Groves drew 5-5 with Holgate.

York RI 'B' maintained their challenge with a 7-3 win over bottom team Groves WMC 'B'. Jill Rounce played well to win all three for RI.

Three wins from Martin Lowe was not enough to stop his side Coneysthorpe 'A' losing 6-4 to York RI 'A', all the RI players each winning two.

Fielding an unregistered player proved costly for Bootham CC 'B' in division two. Rather than lose to Nestl Rowntree 'A', the score was altered to 8-2. Dave Lamb was unbeaten for Nestl.

Leaders Poppleton 'A' were held to a 5-5 draw with York RI 'C'. Steve Ayres won all three for Poppleton and Nigel Reeson and Tom Weeden won two each for RI.

Bootham CC 'C' had Gareth Bryning and Ray Mitchell winning all three in a 7-3 win over York RI 'E' to keep them second in division three.

York RI 'E' came away with a 6-4 win at Groves WMC 'C', Gareth Stott winning all three and Laurence Houlison two. Steve Long won two for Groves.

Three wins from Howard Broadbent and two from Dave Norville helped BT 'A' to a 7-3 win over Northern Electric.

Bootham CC 'C' had a good 9-1 win over Poppleton 'B' in which Ray Mitchell and Bob Plant each won three and Gareth Bryning two.

In division four, Brian Walton was unbeaten for York RI 'F' in a 6-4 win over Norwich Union 'A'. Michael Slezak played well to win two for Norwich Union.

Division six leaders York RI 'I' beat Norwich Union 'B' 7-3, with Andy Grayson unbeaten for RI.

York RI 'K' beat York RI 'J' 7-3. Jeff Brown and Jean Carter were both unbeaten for the 'K' team.
