A COUPLE who run a property lettings and management franchise in York were today celebrating their business being voted the Best Newcomer For 2005.
Mike Lambert, managing director of Martin & Company and his wife, Sue, a director, launched their business in Bishopthorpe Road, in January 2004 and will open a new branch in Leeds on Friday.
Franchisor Martin & Co UK awarded the Lamberts the Best Newcomer title following a successful year in which they acted as mentors to new franchisees.
The accolade comes at a time that the couple have both passed their legal exams for the Association of Residential Letting Agents.
Mr Lambert said: "It's been a busy and fruitful year and there's more to come."
