Pontefract scored a comfortable 35-15 victory over Huddersfield YMCA.

Simon Spears went over for two tries to add to one from Mick Bateman. Ben Cutts got Pontefract's other try. Andy Dean kicked three conversions and three penalties.

Two tries late in the game by James Wainwright saw Old Crossleyans complete a 35-17 victory at Ilkley.

Stuart Vincent, James McBurney and Brendan Kelley went over for Ilkley's tries after Damien Seeto and Chris Woods had gone over for the visitors. Dave Bancroft crossed after the re-start.

Bradford Salem won 26-15 at Keighley. John Harrison and David Pullen kept Keighley in touch but Chris Luxton, Steve Cowman and Paul Gledhill tries kept Salem ahead.

Matt Booth added two penalties, a con version and a dropped goal.

Pocklington's away match at North Ribblesdale in Yorkshire Two was postponed because the home team's pitch was frozen.
