ON Saturday I read in The Way We Were that 25 years ago all textiles and clothing had to be labelled with country of origin.
If only this applied to food Mike Bentley and everyone else would be able to see where "Basic" and "Value" food actually comes from (Saturday Soundoff, February 4). If they knew I believe sales would fall dramatically.
On the subject of labels, Cranswick Country Food is to be praised for clear labels on pork loin steaks but reprimanded for selling German pork when home produced is better.
