Sir Mark Prescott, who has few peers when it comes to placing horses effectively, can provide a further reminder of his art at Southwell tomorrow by completing a quick hat-trick of wins with Amorist.

The three-year-old runs in the first division of the Jeremy Glover Retirement Handicap and looks set to oblige again.

Amorist won at Southwell on December 10 when beating Blueberry Tart by two lengths. He followed up last Thursday in similarly smooth fashion when defying a 6lb penalty.

Racing off his revised handicap mark, plus his latest penalty, Amorist has a 5lb higher burden tomorrow, but a Prescott horse on a roll is one to readily side with.

William Haggas, a former assistant to Prescott, can lift the £10,000 Clarence Contractors Limited Handicap, with Premier Fantasy, who is napped to return to winning form.

Lightly-raced this season, the three-year-old spent much of the summer on the sidelines, but he promises to be on the way back now and ran creditably from a poor draw at Wolverhampton on his latest start.

In finishing a close-up sixth of the 12 runners, having been berthed in the outside stall over five furlongs, Premier Fantasy deserves praise for that effort. Tomorrow's step up to six furlongs and a more favourable draw this time should aid his cause.

Up at Ayr, Armaguedon can take the Weddings At Western House Beginners' Chase. Len Lungo's gelding missed all last season but had previously looked good in 'bumper' races and over hurdles. He now tackles fences for the first time.
