CHILDREN at the Archbishop of York's Church of England School will never forget their Christmas treat. The Archbishop himself dropped in to see them.
Since his inauguration ceremony last month, Dr John Sentamu will have received hundreds of invitations. Everyone wants to meet this extraordinary churchman. But the politicians and the media had to wait. Dr Sentamu's priority on the last day of the school term was to meet local youngsters. He spent time with both the primary and infant pupils and spoke to every member of staff.
His reward? A rendition of the Angel Song. If computer games and Bratz dolls cannot communicate the true meaning of Christmas, a choir of children singing carols certainly does.
