SO all is to be revealed now that David Cameron has promised that the Conservative Party will be "compassionate" - whatever that means.
Is this what the country really needs - an extension of gloss/political correctness/Blairism/New Labour?
There is a void in the political scene for a truly right-of-centre party, so I suggest that the supporters of David Davis simply change their allegiance to UKIP and help develop a truly pragmatic party without the frills and spin of New Labour and New Conservatism. We've all had enough of this deceit over the past eight years.
At the same time, Mr Cameron should defect to the Lib Dems where he would be more in tune with their liberal policies - as they too need a new leader.
