Thoughts of this time-travelling fight are conjured up by news that the Jorvik Viking Centre is unable to accommodate Mike Tyson during his trip to York.
But who would have won? Bloodaxe is not a man to take prisoners: after a family disagreement he had four of his brothers killed. And Tyson's infamous ear-biting tactic would be blunted by the Viking helmet.
