A company based in York is offering people with drive the chance to run their own business to meet the recruitment needs of the motor industry.

Ambitious professionals, including those with experience in the motor or recruitment industries, have the opportunity to be their own boss with the back-up of a successful brand already established at Clifton Moor business village by Nick Leech.

He launched kream motor recruitment to address the needs of thousands of main motor dealers in the UK who struggle to find and retain high quality staff.

Now he plans to establish 22 franchises nationally, each based in a city or major town and covering three counties.

Mr Leech said: "Turnover of staff in the industry, especially at sales executive level, is very high and managers find much of their time is taken up with recruitment, not to mention the cost and effort that goes into training each new member of the team.

"We develop relationships with the main dealers and work closely with them to match ambitious candidates with clients who can provide a solid working environment. We are a local recruitment consultancy, but what makes kream different is that we combine professional service with personal contact."

Each franchisee will operate within their own area to build a network of local dealerships and candidates, while benefiting from centrally-operated marketing, administration, accounts and technological support.

New franchisees will undergo a month-long pre-training programme as well as

ongoing training. They will also receive business set-up support, including access to an accountant and solicitor.

There is an initial £25,000 investment to purchase a franchise, but Mr Leech said successful franchisees could expect to earn up to £52,000 in their first year. The first franchisee will take on the existing successful kream motor recruitment business in York.

"We know there is a need in the industry and we've already had excellent feedback from dealers," he said.
