ANDREW Burns hit a rich vein of form for York City Baths Club at the Harrogate Open Junior Meet.

The 12-year-old struck gold in four events - 50 metres butterfly, 200m individual medley, 50m and 200m breaststroke. He also collected a silver in the 200m butterfly and a bronze in the 200m freestyle.

Oliver Wilby, 14, showed his preference for the backstroke events as he did the 50m and 200m double.

Another 14-year-old, Tom Jackson, won the 50m butterfly, was second in the 200m IM, 200m breaststroke and 100m freestyle, adding bronze in the 50m backstroke.

Eleven-year-old James Wilby added to York's golden haul with victory in the 200m breaststroke and silver in the 50m breaststroke.

There was gold for Sophie Glasby, 13, in the 50m backstroke and silver in the 200m IM. Jordan Foster, ten, gained silver in the 50m freestyle and bronze in both the 50m and 200m butterfly.

There were bronzes for Kirsty Smith, 12, in the 200m backstroke and Sophie Edmonds-Allen, 12, in the 50m breaststroke.

Top eight awards went to: Suzy Parrott, 10yrs, 100m and 200m freestyle, 200m backstroke and 200m breaststroke. Christian Carty, 9yrs, 200m backstroke.
