QUEEN Margaret's School, Escrick, are sending a right royal contingent to the county round of the National Schools Hockey Tournament after qualifying in three age groups.
The Under-18s, 16s and 14s all won their respective York and district heats to climb up to the next step against the best of North Yorkshire at Giggleswick this month.
Rivals St Peter's were beaten by the U18 and U16 sides, 1-0 and 3-0, respectively.
It's not the only taste of success for the U16s in recent weeks after cruising through the York and District tournament at St Peter's School where they beat the Mount, St Peter's, Bootham, Joseph Rowntree, Fulford and Tadcaster - without conceding a single goal.
