IT is fantastic news to the family of the nine-year-old girl who was abducted at knife point in York, in June 2005, to know that the serial paedophile is in jail for life (October 31).
I know the little girl and her family very well, and the stress and strain on them has been unimaginable and beyond belief.
No parent should ever be subjected to this ordeal, and it is the best place for the serial paedophile. It will reassure the public that this sort of thing will not be tolerated.
