I READ Tom Metcalfe's letter in Saturday's Evening Press and must agree with the points he makes about the abuse by drivers making a "rat run" of Coppergate, York.
However, I despair of somebody complaining about all of the hold-ups his to-and-fro journey from home to work and back involve him in. I reckon it probably takes him at least half an hour from leaving his office to walking through his front door.
His address is Burton Stone Lane. I reckon I could probably walk it in less time, and I'm only a 72-year-old squirt of 5ft 4 inches.
I apologise to Mr. Metcalfe wholeheartedly if he is disabled, of course.
