FRANKIE Dettori can light up a typical back-end-of-the- season programme at Nottingham tomorrow by landing the feature race on the card.

Dettori teams up with Subpoena in the Racing UK Conditions Stakes and can bring the three-year-old home in front.

Trained by Saeed bin Suroor, Subpoena finished a good second to Elliots World at Doncaster's St Leger meeting back in September. A reproduction of that form tomorrow should enable Subpoena to go one better and make Dettori's journey to Nottingham well worthwhile.

Summer Bounty deserves attention in the Letheby & Christopher Stable Staff Series Handicap.

A horse who relishes easy ground, Summer Bounty was comfortably held in fourth place over a mile on this course recently when apprentice-ridden and having his first outing after a short break. It looks significant that shrewd trainer Frank Jordan has booked Tony Culhane for the mount tomorrow. Their chances of victory should not be underestimated.

Lipizza may prove the answer to the Season Finale Lunch Nursery over five furlongs. Trained at Newmarket by Neville Callaghan, Lipizza has run some respectable races recently, not least when finishing fourth over seven furlongs at Catterick on her latest outing.

Tomorrow's shorter distance may bring about some improvement in her.

Hambleton trainer Kevin Ryan has enjoyed a memorable year and can add to his enormous tally of winners, courtesy of Pride Of Kinloch in the See You In 2006 Handicap. Andrew Mullen, Ryan's highly capable 5lb claimer, takes the mount on the five-year-old.

Over the sticks at Huntingdon, nap selection Marlborough Sound makes plenty of appeal in the Sponsor At Huntingdon Handicap Hurdle.

Nicky Richards' Cumbrian raider ran a sound race in defeat on his latest start at Perth six weeks ago and looks capable of resuming winning ways here over this extended three miles. Tony Dobbin has the ride.

Richards and Dobbin, a formidable partnership, can also make their presence felt with Etched In Stone in the H20Nationwide Novices' Hurdle. A winner back in the spring, Etched In Stone looks the type to progress over hurdles this season before eventually going novice chasing.
