FACT or fiction? The October edition of the Liberal Democrats Holgate Focus has just arrived on my doormat.
The headlines on the front page tell me all about the £21 million schools boost for the west of the city and goes on to trumpet the building of St Barnabas Primary School, the first primary school rebuilt in York for 20 years.
What about Acomb Primary School situated in the very middle of their own ward?
Perhaps our local Holgate councillors should do their own homework before making such a statement!
Another issue, and one close to the hearts of the readers of the Evening Press, is the continuing refuse collection saga.
The same issue advises Holgate residents that grey bins are to be collected weekly from December to February, no dates, no details.
Personally, I don't have a problem with fortnightly collections, but someone needs to tell me what is going on.
Should I believe it or is this yet another throw-away comment made by our not so local, local councillors?
