A FREE investment show in York on Wednesday will offer tips and tricks to prove that those who are keen to capitalise on the property market have not missed the boat.

The Property Investment Show, organised by York-based Hunters Property Group, at York Racecourse, is described as "a must for anyone interested in making a buck out of overseas or UK property".

Seminars will be run by Pearson Jones Wealth Management, Hunter's property experts and even a current investor who is happy with his lot.

Hunters director Kevin Hollinrake said: "The Centre for Economics and Business Research recently predicted that average house prices in the UK will grow by 38 per cent over the next 10 years and 110 per cent in the next 25, so there is still cash to be made in the property boom. The event will bring together experts in the industry to show how you can use the equity in your home to turn £50,000 of savings into a £500,000 property portfolio.

"And for those who already have cash to invest, we'll provide a step by step guide showing how to buy property at a 40 per cent discount when the pension rules change in April, 2006."

In addition to the two 30 minute sessions offering practical money management tips and property investment advice, one-to-one sessions are available with Hunters, Pearson Jones Wealth Management, Harrowell Shaftoe Solicitors and Garbutt & Elliot Accountants.

The show starts at 2pm and is followed at 6pm by a property auction.
