HARROGATE'S 35-19 defeat at Moseley, their eighth successive loss, was always on the cards against one of the best sides in National Two.
Harrogate had to change their selection even before the coach left town when former Newcastle Stephen Jones, who was due to play stand-off, pulled out to concentrate on playing rugby league with Huddersfield.
Moseley's tries came from hooker Dean Bick (3), Nathan Brassington and flanker Neil Mason with Ollie Tomas kicking the rest of the points.
Centre Maifea Maifea, winger Steve Parsons and Yorkshire prop James Browne crossed for Harrogate with scrum-half Mark Chester kicking two conversions in a much-improved Harrogate display.
