SACRE bleu - and sacre pink. A French artist has 'painted' York Minster using a startling array of bright colours.
The magnificent Gothic cathedral has been turned into something that looks suspiciously close to a giant Wurlitzer jukebox.
Is this a devious French plot to ridicule our finest local monument? No, it is all part of a York festival of illuminations which will light up the city. And if Patrice Warrener's transformation of the Minster isn't to all tastes, the gaudy lights will be switched off on Bonfire Night.
