Hambleton trainer Kevin Ryan, busy buying yearlings at Doncaster Sales this week, can reap rewards from one of last year's purchases on Town Moor tomorrow.

The £30,000 DBS October Yearling Stakes is confined to horses bought at Doncaster's auction 12 months ago and Ryan has every chance with Guto, who will be ridden by his stable-jockey Neil Callan.

Although not in the same league as Amadeus Wolf, Ryan's crack juvenile who has won both the Gimcrack Stakes and the Middle Park this season, Guto has already paid his way by winning two of his four races.

Having broken his maiden tag at Ripon on his second outing, Guto was then beaten narrowly at Musselburgh before returning to Ripon to gain a gritty success in a nursery handicap. Improving with every race, Guto can oblige again tomorrow and is awarded my Nap vote.

Julie Camacho has her Norton string in good form and Higher State should go well for her in the Racing Post/SIS Betting Shop Manager of The Year Handicap.

A Beverley winner this summer, Higher State has since been defeated at Newbury and York, but a step up in trip tomorrow plus a return to softer ground may work the oracle for him and he is not to be underestimated.

Mark Johnston is going well and the Middleham trainer has good prospects of landing the Racing Post £1Million Totetentofollow Nursery with Dream Mountain, the mount of Royston Ffrench. A winner last time out and a colt improving with every start, Dream Mountain will relish this setp-up to a mile.

Commentary can win the cantorspreadfair.com Nursery at Newbury. This maiden race winner made a bold bid in a nursery at Catterick last Saturday, but a tardy start left her with a lot to do and although she stayed on strongly she was not quite able to reel-in all-the-way winner Il Castango. Tomorrow's more galloping track should suit her better.
