HOUSEBUILDER Barratt, whose regional office is at Poppleton, York, has scooped the Best Planning and Land Regeneration Strategy award, sponsored by English Partnerships, in this year's Building Communities Awards.
The awards, organised by the influential Building magazine, reward those housing organisations at the forefront of innovation, change and best practice.
The "formidable" scale and consistency of Barratt's operation impressed the judges.
