RICH Corner is the new York Knavesmire League division one Individual Champion after a narrow 3-2 win against Ebor's Mark Hartley.

Corner earlier defeated Mitre team-mate Kev O'Hara 2-0 in the semi-final with legs of 20 and 19, after O'Hara had levelled with 20 darts. Hartley beat Ebor colleague Les Lowe 2-0 in their semi-final.

In the final, Corner took the first leg with the throw before Hartley replied with a 64 finish and a 96 finish for two 18-darters. Hartley then missed chances to take the title as Corner took the fourth leg and in the decider, the Mitre player opened with scores of 100, 121 and 100 before closing out on 64 to take the Championship.

The other Individual finals also went down to the wire.

The division two final was an all Jackdaw affair with Danny White taking the honours in the fifth leg against Mark Sommerville, who had the darts to take the win.

Anthony Baxter took the division three crown after coming back from 2-0 down to Clifton 'B' colleague Paul Innes. Legs of 24 and 23 saw Baxter level before sealing the win, with both players having the opportunities to capture the title.

Hartley was again in action in the Pairs final. Partnering Tony Raymond, the Ebor pair came back to take the victory 2-1 against Clifton 'A's Martyn Turner-Martin Waddington.

The Mixed Pairs winners are Kev O'Hara-Angie Hields (Mitre), who defeated Clifton 'B's Mick MacLeod-Jo Hodges 2-1. Both teams had their chances to take the decider after the Mitre pair won the opener comfortably.

Volunteer Arms added the Triples title to their division one championship with a 2-1 win against the Huntington WMC trio of Nick Harteveld, John Smith and Phil Good. The Volunteer threesome of Heath Scaife, Mick Willsden and Paul Cooper took the Triples crown with a 93 finish from Scaife.
