DERWENT United went top of John Smiths Sunday Morning Fotball League division one with a scintillating 4-3 win over rivals Severus SC.

Goals from Collins (2),Bradshaw and Oxendale proved the undoing of Severus who replied through a Mark Woodward double and Sellars.

Marcia were also involved in another tight battle in their game against Wigginton. After being 2-0 up in the first ten minutes through Green and former York City player Kieran Darlow, the hosts were pegged back by a Tom Coates penalty. Marcia's Green netted his second and Wetherall made it 4-1 but Marcia had their backs to the wall as Wigginton scored twice through a Paul Dix brace but held on to win 4-3.

Ainsty Panthers thumped Pocklington 5-0 with goals by Kamara, Willoughby, Paul King (2) and Tosh Reid.

Selby Olympia were 1-0 up at the break but the second half saw an Acomb comeback with a Barker penalty and a Pat McGarry strike putting the York side in front before Olympia levelled at 2-2.

A two-goal salvo by Kevin Martin for Nestl Flag earned them a 2-2 draw with Nestl Volunteers.

Shipton continued their unbeaten start to the division two season as two Blake goals defeated Burnholme 2-1. Kevin Thomas scored for Burnholme.

Haxby Lions lost 2-1 to goals from Bishopthorpe's Sanderson and Manns. Haxby's reply came from John Kennelley. Acomb Sports Club were beaten 5-1 by Hambleton, whose goals came from Croad (2), Welford (2) and Farrar with Jackson scoring for Acomb.

Cueball Fulford trailed 2-0 to Hemingbrough at half-time but those two Bennett goals were wiped out by Anthony Hewson, Dave Chapman and Matt Simpson after the break as Fulford sealed a 3-2 win.

Skelton maintained their 100 per cent winning record with a 4-1 defeat of Selby Olympia Reserves in division three.

Harrison and Huggins scored for Skelton in the first half with Sweeting responding for Selby. The villagers made sure of maximum points with two Matt Graham goals in the second period.

F1 Racing were first past the post in their game at Bay Horse Tadcaster. White scored in the first half for F1 and Taylor missed a penalty before Drury equalised for Bay Horse but two goals in the last 20 minutes from Adrian Jordan and Mike Taylor won the game for F1 despite Sebine netting another for Bay Horse.
