HOT-SHOT Kevin Butler earned his second match ball in as many weeks with interest in Clifton's 11-0 away mauling of The Walnut Tree in division one of the York Sunday Afternoon Football League.

Last week's hat-trick scorer hit four in the onslaught, with others coming from Ross Moynihan (2), Daniel Coombs (2), Richard Bedingham, David Jones and Dale Phillips.

The first college derby of the season saw St John's College come back from being 2-1 down at half time against College of Law to win 5-3.

Ryan Davies scored a hat-trick for St John's and Matthew Craig and Michael Firek added one each, while David Kemshall, Jonathan Finney and Pete Kendall were the scorers in the other direction.

Melbourne cut off King's Head's League Cup chances after hitting them for six in their second round tie. Goals from David O'Connor, Andrew Beevers, Adam Thomas, John nesbitt, a Robert Pipes penalty and an own goal saw off battling King's Head, whose Mark Jeffels and Dean Olley were on target.

Second division Drum almost caused an upset against Turf after Alex McKay, Christopher Groom and Richard Doughwaite pulled it back from 3-0 to 3-3 - but a late fourth by Turf sealed the game. Gareth Gavin, Stuart Gavin, Gavin Clark and Mark Belleh scored for Turf.

Division two Rose & Crown 2004 held their nerve in a penalty shoot-out to dispose of first division Cottage Inn.

Rose & Crown had trailed 2-1 at half time but a brace each for Shaun Day, Damon Scott and Simon Partridge took them through extra time to a spot-kick finale, which they won 5-3 for a place in the quarter-finals.
