MY friends in Heslington Lane were victims of this incompetent fiasco, and in that very street I witnessed the spectacle of a refuse lorry cruising the street looking for grey bins residents didn't know they were coming to collect.
The likelihood of a York bin crew going into driveways to bring out the bins is non-existent, even when it has been their mistake in the first place (sorry but no buck-passing to contractors will do - we pay you for the service!).
Still the residents have had neither of their bins collected.
So what are people to do now? Just leave both bins in the street permanently in the vain hope that the service for which they pay might be carried out?
I can't wait to hear what Galloway-the-arrogant will have to say on the subject - tell us it's our fault for not taking the refuse personally to the tips? Maybe we should all take it personally to Steve Galloway and Andrew Waller's doorsteps!
