Fergal Lynch, who gained a pillar-to-post win on Rothesay Dancer at Catterick yesterday, has good prospects of adding to his tally at Southwell's low-grade meeting tomorrow.

On a 'banded' card, which means that every race is a bottom-rung Class 7 event, worth only £2,000, Lynch teams-up with Fox Covert in the Natwest Stakes over six furlongs.

David Barker's sprinter ran well from a poor draw over an inadequate five furlongs at Catterick last time and finished a close-up fifth to Ballybunion.

Tomorrow's extra furlong will suit him better and this speedy gelding is fancied to dominate, providing he can handle the Fibresand surface. He is awarded my Nap vote.

Sir Mark Prescott, who leaves no stone unturned when it comes to eking out opportunities for his horses, will be represented by Quote Unquote in the Ladbrokes Freephone Maiden Stakes.

Having set off the season looking quite a promising sprinter, this two-year-old has proved disappointing. Tomorrow's race, however, looks weak and Seb Sanders' mount should be noted.

Milton Bradley can win the opening race, the ladbrokes.com Apprentice Stakes, with Boanerges. After a spell in the doldrums, this at one time smart sprinter has returned to form at a lowly level.

Tomorrow's weak-looking five-furlong dash looks a tempting opportunity for him to gain his second win in his last three starts.

Norton trainer Malcolm Jefferson has targeted the the ladbrokesgames.com Stakes for Cayman Calypso, who will be partnered by Andrew Mullen.

The four-year-old is returning from a five month break but he is a regular contender on this surface and is a course and distance winner.

At Worcester, Philip Hobbs looks to have an easy opportunity for Harry's Dream in the betfredpoker.com Novices' Hurdle.

The eight-year-old has finished in the frame in both his starts this season and went down by only a neck to On The Outside over fences at Stratford last month. Back over hurdles tomorrow, Harry's Dream should get his head in front.

Thursday's tips:
