Don't overlook Inchloch at Nottingham tomorrow, with ease in the ground.

That's my advice as the three-year-old bids to resume winning ways and provide Jamie Spencer with another good opportunity to strengthen his commanding lead at the top of the jockeys' championship.

Trained by James Fanshawe, Inchloch won a maiden race at Leicester earlier in the season but he came up slightly short when he returned there early in August.

Sent off the 5-2 favourite, he was beaten by just under two lengths into third place on good-to-firm ground, which may have caught him out in the closing stages.

Tomorrow's conditions include a 'soft in places' addition to the good ground forecast, which should suit Inchloch much better. Well worth another chance, he is my Nap selection in the Howard Moss 'Lifetime In Racing' Handicap.

Spencer can also score on Gwilym in the European Breeders' Fund Maiden Stakes. Gwilym was a creditable runner-up to Strut in a maiden race at Windsor early in August. Strut has gone on to prove herself at a much higher level and it is unlikely that Gwilym will have as smart a rival tomorrow and he is fancied to open his winning account.

Norton trainer Julie Camacho won at Pontefract yesterday with Rio Riva, and Skyelady can be another winner for the Star Cottage yard in the City Life Magazine Fillies' Auction Stakes.

Previously trained by Tim Easterby, Skyelady was out of her depth in Group 3 company at Newmarket last time, but she should find tomorrow's rivals easier and the drop back again to six furlongs may well suit her.

At Towcester, Brigadier Benson can take the Epson Novices' Handicap Hurdle. Robert Alner's gelding may have needed his latest outing at Uttoxeter, his first race for four months, in which case his fourth-placed effort can be improved on tomorrow.

Wednesday's tips:
