HEATH Scaife (180) closed on 136 for a tremendous 12 darts for Shepherd SC 'A' in York Phoenix Monday Darts League division one against Crescent WMC.

Mick Willsden supported well with 18 and 19 dart legs and Mark Jones put in 17 and 20 darts as Shepherd's ran out 8-1 winners.

Sun Inn won by the same margin at Slipper where Sun's Jon O'Mara included a 110 finish and Tony Cooper had 16 and 21 darts. Paul Partridge (20) and Bertie Bingham (21) were Slipper's best contributors.

Clifton's Steve Simpson closed on 105 and John Holmes was out in 20 darts to level against Ebor who had raced to a 3-1 lead. Arthur Conyers weighed in with 20 and 21 to seal the win for visitors Ebor.

A 17-darter from Andy Morton gave Acomb a 3-1 lead but Cygnet 'B' rallied through Paul Cooper (180 for 18) and Kev O'Hara (20) before Ali Wray clinched the last game win.

Pete Leake starred for Cygnet 'A' with a 180 and 18 against Wenlock Arms. Chris Bullen gave support with 20 while Wenlock's Rich Hill included an 84-bull finish along with 21 and 18-darters.

Huntington WMC included Dave Kerr's bull finish and a Phil Chapman 18 in their 7-2 win at Acorn, whose Keith Turner and Lee Brundrett both hit maximums. Phil Good (19) and Nick Harteveld (21) also did well for the club side.

In division two, Paul Bartnett hit a maximum for Locomotive 'B' in their 6-3 defeat at Falcon, whose Colin Gibson was in good form.

Bull finishes were the order of the day at Shepherd's 'B', who were at home to Osbaldwick. Mick Percival and Daz 'Taf' Jones notched them for the home side and Derrick Adamson got one for the visitors.

Britannia's Steve Snowden hit a 106 finish for 21 against Edinburgh, while Blacksmith's took the first four as Karen Braithwaite clinched the match against Independent.

A splendid 137 finish from Mick Kearney inspired Health Service Club to a 7-2 win against Holgate. The HSC need at least a 7-2 win in their last match to secure the championship.

Mount will finish third after a 7-2 win at Lord Nelson who had Paul Saville out in a superb 17 darts. Mark Chamberlain also weighed in with a 17-darter.

A maximum from Flag 'B's Tina Platt didn't stop Anchor from wrapping up a clean sweep, while Mal Davey hit a team game maximum then added a two-dart 100 finish as Alice Hawthorn recorded a 7-2 victory at York City Supporters' Club, who included a 19-darter from Andy Eyre.
