LEADERS Kirkdale United suffered a shock defeat as they crashed 3-1 at Black Swan Pickering.
The RJF Homes Beckett Football League champions went ahead when Ashley Windress blasted home, but Black Swan equalised 57 seconds after the interval with a brilliant 20-yard volley by man of the match Marc Dobson and three minutes later John Beever stabbed home.
Dobson got his second from Beever's cross and could have had a hat-trick but for Kirkdale 'keeper James Thompson, whose opposite number, Dave Sturgess, saved brilliantly to stop Martin Charlton reducing the gap.
Darren Dyer scored a hat-trick as Slingsby took over top spot by beating Thornton-le-Dale 4-2.
Rob Lindley hit the post for Thornton a minute before Dyer put Slingsby ahead. Paul Grayson and Tom Atkinson put Thornton 2-1 up but Dyer completed his treble and Jamie Ward also netted.
Paul Holmes got four as Coxwold went top of division two when hammering Crayke 7-0, while man of the match Tony Cass got the only goal five minutes from time as Pro-Pak won 1-0 at Old Malton 3rds.
Ben Gilbank, Darren Bell and man of the match Graham Barker scored in Bagby and Balk's 3-1 win at Ampleforth, while Duncombe Park and Union Rovers 2nds drew a thriller 1-1. Steve Mills put Rovers ahead but Rob Klimczak levelled.
Mark Robinson scored twice as Gillamoor beat Heslerton 3-1 in the Ryedale Hospital Cup first round, while David Wilkinson got a hat-trick as Kirkbymoorside thrashed Norton United 6-0 in the Gordon Harrison Memorial Trophy.
Union Rovers also went through after coming from 4-1 down to beat St Clements WMC 5-4. John Alcock got three for St Clements and John Dale hit a 40-yarder, but Rovers came back after the break with Nigel Allen scoring two and Richard Abbey getting the winner.
Goalkeeper Dave Waind saved two spot-kicks as Sinnington beat Ryedale Sports Club 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in which Ryedale's Johnny Wilson got his second equaliser five minutes from time.
