BOB the dog is now able to go walkies again after his arthritis was "cured" by a magnetic collar.
The former basket-bound labrador cross made the remarkable recovery when he began wearing the special choker.
The device is believed to provide natural pain relief.
Ian Cutsforth, 63, of Dunnington, who supplies magnetic therapies for both animals and humans, received an emotional letter from Bob's owner, Joy Harrison-Shirtliff.
He said wearing a magnet eased pain by putting more oxygen into the red blood cells through magnetic influence.
"Bob is now able to run up and down the cliff tops," said Ian, who started his own magnet therapy business to help others after his chronic arthritis eased when he began wearing a magnet wristband.
