A DREW Bradd goal gave New Earswick a 1-0 home win against Hamilton Panthers in their Leeper Hare York and District League division one.

Bradd scored on 65 minutes and New Earswick were also indepted to a fine display by their goalkeeper.

Rufforth were 3-0 down inside 15 minutes at home to Norwich Union but fought back to win 4-3.

Liam Stilgoe (2) Anthony Evans and Jack Clayton scored for Rufforth. Norwich Union's goals came from Matt Deveraux. Matt Hildon and Ian McPhail.

Post Office were beaten 6-0 at home by Easingwold

Poppleton maintained their unbeaten start to the season in division two with a 4-1 home win over Sheriff Hutton.

Jimmy Scott put the visitors in front, but James Barrett equalised just before the break and Poppleton went on to win with goals from Steve Sacks and Craig Theaker (2).

Civil Service and Barmby Moor, who were both heavily beaten in their two opening games, bounced back to register their first wins of the new season.

Civil Service won 2-1 at Selby RSSC with goals from Richard Burrows and Andy Simpson. Kev Gaynor replied for the hosts.

An outstanding display by Barmby 'keeper Craig Caton and a Kramer Smith penalty saw them beat Moor Lane.

The last three games between York RI and Tadcaster have been draws but Tadcaster won 4-1 this time. Darren Sellars scored for RI.
