THE male driver of this car had a lucky escape after his car overturned landing on its roof in a hedge.
He was driving a white Mitsubishi FTO coup in Holtby Lane, Stockton-on-the-Forest, at about 5.40pm yesterday, when he was involved in a collision with a black Renault 19.
He was taken by ambulance to York Hospital suffering from chest injuries described as "serious, but not life threatening".
The road was closed for several hours following the crash.
The Renault left the scene and York Police are anxious to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident, in particular a woman seen driving a blue or green Volvo 440.
