York RI suffered a disappointing Yorkshire Three campaign last term when a long injury list played havoc with selection.
Jon Alexander has been elected captain with Nick Humphries taking over the coaching duties. New players include hooker Andy Nunns from Ionians, prop Glen O'Hara (Pocklington) and South African back-row forward Justin Hardman, who is from Johannesburg.
Former chairman Kevin Hollinrake has taken on a fund-raising role for the club which opens its campaign at home to Heath, who were relegated from Yorkshire Two last season.
