LET me see if I've understood this story correctly ('Late licence for two nightclubs", August 31).
By accepting the evidence of the acoustics expert, the licensing committee is saying industrial levels of noise are acceptable in residential streets at 2.15am.
There is surely only one way that the residents of Micklegate in York can celebrate this far-reaching decision - find the addresses of those on the licensing committee and behave acceptably in their neighbourhood.
