A SLICE of the Ryder Cup has been sharpening the skills of youngsters at Kirkbymoorside Golf Club.
During the current summer holidays, the club's junior section have been taking part in specialised weekly group coaching sessions organised by Kirkbymoorside's assistant professional Matthew Conner.
Besides the carefully tailored sessions offering a comprehensive introduction to the game, part of the programme has included events following the format of the Ryder Cup.
The youngsters (pictured above) played for either 'America' or 'Europe' with points awarded for activities won during the morning sessions, with the teams then battling it out in the afternoon sessions head-to-head on the course.
