ON behalf of all the boys in the York Cricket Club Under 11s six-a-side squad I would like to thank Heworth CC for hosting the recent six-a-side competition.
The day was great and all the arrangements for the games ran like clockwork. We had the most enjoyable day playing six exciting games from 11am until 6pm and we all got medals.
I would like to thank Steve Parkinson for arranging the event and the Heworth CC members, chairman, groundsman and the tea ladies for putting on such a fun day enjoyed by ten teams - more than 100 boys and girls.
I hope Heworth will organise another six-a-side competition next year.
