Andy Atkins-Krger, managing director of York-based search marketing company Web Certain, has been appointed president of the newly-formed Search Marketing Association (SMA).
He will head the committee comprising of the £2 billion industry's leading search experts. Search marketing is a growth industry in the UK, with many companies realising the potential of the internet as an effective marketing channel.
Web Certain generates business growth for its clients through online marketing campaigns that deliver visitors and buyers to their websites.
Mr Atkins-Krger was elected in a poll overseen by the Electoral Reform Society.
