FANS will get the chance to quiz manager Billy McEwan at the York City Roadshow at York City Social Club on Thursday.

The panel will also include members of the club's board and the fans' forum format will give supporters the opportunity to ask questions about operations at the club and team matters.

The evening will start promptly at 7pm and McEwan will be available for the first hour, but will be leaving at 8pm because the first team are playing Woking at KitKat Crescent the following night.

The roadshow is the fourth held by the club in recent weeks with the others being at Malton, Easingwold and Knaresborough. Admission is free and juniors are encouraged to attend.

York City ladies will run a youth team for the first-ever time this season.

An under-14 side has been accepted into the East Riding Girls League although the club are still considering whether to apply for the more established West Riding version.

The move to form a junior team has earned the club, who were formed in 1995, FA charter standard status for the quality of their coaching and accessibility.

City ladies' senior team, meanwhile, will play their first round FA Cup tie against Kirklees at KitKat Crescent on Sunday, September 11, kick-off 2pm.

The team will again be playing in division one South of the North-East Regional League with a reserve side entered into the North Riding League.

Under 14s training will be held at Oaklands Sports Centre from 6.30pm on Thursday nights with the seniors' session starting at 7pm. Anybody wanting more information about the club can e-mail yorkcityladies@aol.com or call Robert Pearson on 07904 107763.
