AS a resident of Haxby, please note the following points regarding the future of the Memorial Hall: we do not want a glass carbuncle in the village - it's an insult to the people lost in both world wars.
It would be like a red rag to a bull for vandals. The bus shelter in front of the hall is now without glass. Keep the front. Alter the rear only.
