THE possible relocation of Arc Light to the site of the former school in Shipton Street would have a detrimental effect on the area, contrary to suggestions voiced in your recent editions that there would be no impact on the community.
The present centre is located away from residential areas, the proposal is to site the new one in the heart of the community. This is bound to impact on the residents however the centre is monitored.
The future of the school after closure was supposed to be for community use but now it would appear that money will be the deciding factor, to the detriment of the community.
