Solicitor Nick Sheppard has been appointed head of employment law at the York office of Langleys.
Mr Sheppard, previously of Pinsent Masons in Leeds, brings to the job his experience in all major areas of employment law, including industrial relations, human resources and tribunal advocacy. He will act for both private companies and individuals.
James Towler, head of the commercial department at Langleys, said: "Nick is well known and widely respected in the employment industry and will be an asset to the team."
Langleys has offices in York and Lincoln and offers a mix of company commercial, insurance and private high street work. The employment team has extensive experience in all aspects of employment law, from recruitment through to dismissal.
