A YORK woman was badly shaken today after windows at her home were smashed for the third time.Pat Broadhead, still devastated from the death of her partner Len Franklin from CJD almost two years ago, has appealed for witnesses to come forward to help police catch the culprit.Three windows of the sitting room at her home in Nicholas Street, off Lawrence Street, were smashed in the attack late on Saturday evening."I was in bed and had not long gone to sleep when my partner heard a noise and said : "What the hell is that?"She said a neighbour had looked out and seen a female smashing the window with a lump hammer before running off, but could not positively identify who the attacker was. She estimates the damage may cost up to £400 to repair.Pat, who has her suspicions as to who is responsible, is planning to offer a reward for information leading to a conviction. "I have got to put a stop to it. This has happened twice before. It's getting to the stage where I daren't go out of my house.Anyone with information should contact York police on York 631321.
