I should like to record my appreciation for the care and attention I received during my operation by Mr Stower and his team at York District Hospital. Also a big thanks to the staff on Ward 12. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
When I read of salaries paid to captains of industry and footballers in comparison to nursing staff as health supremo Frank Dobson resists fair wage rises all I can say is: shame on you Mr Dobson.
