Phil Gaughan, the seven foot tall star of the Kingston Icebergs team, was the high-five attraction at the camp organised by the York Basketball Forum during the Easter break.
He put several under-eight players through the hoops in training drills at the event, which he attended shortly after helping the Icebergs to win the National League division three title.
More than 50 youngsters attended the three-day camp, which is the forerunner to a second YBF camp, which will be at York's Burnholme School from April 7-9.
Top tuition will be given at Burnholme by Chris Finch, the head coach of the Sheffield Sharks basketball team.
