I have enjoyed many visits to West Bank Park with my toddler during term times, but each of our three visits during the school holidays have had to be cut short because of the disgusting behaviour and language of some of the older children there.

On one occasion a boy dropped his trousers and urinated at the bottom of the slide. On our last visit a boy threatened to kill my toddler and my friend's baby.

All the incidents have taken place on the climbing frame/slide area which seems to have become a platform for dysfunctional youths to intimidate small children and their mothers.

What, if anything, does the council intend to do about this problem? I suggest either remove this piece of equipment or else to fence it off so small children can't get to it.

The only way to stop my toddler attempting to use this slide at the moment is to remove him from the park and I don't see why I should have to do that when he is not the one behaving badly.

Have any readers have encountered similar problems in West Bank Park?
