After reading the front page Crush Horror story (August 25), I must write about the dangers of cycling in York.
Only a few months ago another woman cyclist was killed in a collision with a lorry.
Then the police crack down on pavement cyclists on Tadcaster Road - but can you blame the cyclists?
I for one cannot. I have a car and a bike and would love to use my bike more for environmentally-friendly reasons, but find the prospect daunting in heavy traffic.
Cycle lanes should be on the pavements not on the roads.
How many more cyclists have to be injured or killed before anyone changes the existing 'laws'?
