Norman Williamson, a big hit with punters wherever he rides, travels to Sedgefield tomorrow with bright prospects of a lucrative afternoon.

The top-class Irish jockey can open his winning account aboard Empire Park in the Winter Wheat Novices' Hurdle.

Trained at Lambourn by Charlie Egerton, Empire Park got off the mark on his hurdling debut at Market Rasen in early July when beating Filial by one and a quarter lengths.

Having since run on the Flat, Empire Park should have nothing to fear on the score on fitness tomorrow as he bids to double his hurdle-race tally.

Williamson and Egerton can also take the honours in the Johnny Ridley Memorial Novices' Chase with Mumuqa.

A lightly-raced seven-year-old, Mumuqa drifted from 11-8 to 7-2 at Newton Abbot on his latest start, but positively bolted up by eight lengths from the hot favourite Hisar.

Considering that was only Mumuqa's third start it is reasonable to assume that further improvement is likely.

Williamson can complete a treble on Dragon King in the Raisby Quarries Handicap Chase.

Trained by Peter Bowen, who has an excellent strike-rate on this course, Dragon King is in tip-top form, having won two of his last three starts. He looks capable of defying a 6lb penalty here.

Mick Easterby holds the answer to the Sugar Beet Juvenile Novices' Hurdle with Bodfari Signet, the mount of Mick Fitzgerald.

The Sheriff Hutton-based three-year-old got off the mark over timber with a brave effort at Stratford ten days ago when he beat evens favourite Power Hit, by a short-head with the rest of the field nine lengths behind.

Kevin Darley can shine on the Flat at Yarmouth tomorrow. The Sheriff Hutton jockey rides Choirgirl in the John Musker Fillies' Stakes. The John Gosden-trained three-year-old has strong claims on her runner-up effort behind Ajhiba in a likewise Listed event at Salisbury recently.

Watch out for Tony Beech on Nap selection Ring Of Love going for a hat-trick in the Tote Brian Taylor Handicap. Beech is a talented young rider who notched his biggest success to date aboard Amalia at Doncaster on Saturday.
