In reply to Graham Barrett (Evening Press, September 10), I should like him to know that horses do have dignity.
How would Mr Barrett like to walk about with a nappy full of dung?
On reflection, I would strongly suggest to him that if he ever comes to York as a tourist to wear a nappy himself, because he won't be able to find a toilet.
Why don't some people get life into perspective and realise how lucky they are to be alive. If Mr Barrett had lived in the 'good old days' he would have had more to moan about than a shovel full of horse muck.
I, with many others, handle a bit of horse muck morning and night... it never bit anybody.
